3mm para-aramid fiber chopped strands was chopped in 3mm by a special cutting equipment. This fiber has high strength and modulus, strong hydrogen bonding strength, strength up to 28 g/d or more, strength is 5-6 times of steel wire.specific modulus 2-3 times of it,toughness 2 times of it while weight is just 1/5 of the wire.Continuous using temperature range is extremely wide, long running in the range of -196 ºC to 204 ºC,no decomposition and melting at high temperature of 560 ºC,strength can maintain 75% through 100 hours at 200 ºC.also has good chemical solvent resistance, resisting acid and alkali, anti-aging, good adhesion to rubber. Usually it is used as a reinforcing material in the fields of thermoplastics, thermosetting plastics, high-temperature composite structures, brake pads, clutch linings, friction material, wear-resistant filler, cable sheathing, gaskets, slot insulation, phase insulation barrier, interturn insulation and so on.
